When I was twelve I met my great uncle for the first time in the english countryside. He showed me his camera and I spent the afternoon watching him take macro photos of flowers in his garden. Waiting for a bee to land on a flower, carefully placing water droplets for interest, moving the plants in the background for depth, finding the perfect composition.
The cameras got a little bigger and the flowers and bees didn't last long, but I haven't put down a camera since.
